MOVE OVER PICKLE.. CHARLIE BROWN IS HERE

Well.. we are now a 2-bus family. This past weekend, we drove to Centralia and picked up our brand new, gently used, 1979 Volkswagen Transporter named "Charlie Brown."

It's in pretty good condition. The interior is VERY nice and has all the seats. The middle seat holds two carseats.. and the back seat holds 3 people. So in all we can "transport" 7 people in the new bus.

I was thinking of painting it a light yellow (like my Dad's old '71 Superbeetle) but everyone at work loves the brown color. And then when I gave it a good waxing, I learned the paint isn't in too bad a shape. So no painting for now. Just a little rust protection.

Now comes the tedious but fun parts.. of getting it to pass smog inspection.. ironing out the few wrinkles.. and getting it to be a trusty DD (Daily Driver) for me and my family. And there is no turning back. I sold my '99 Infinity this week.

Yikes!

I hope the Party Pickle doesn't get jealous!

About Me

My photo
We love living in the Northwest with our two VW buses. One is green and named the "Party Pickle." It's our camper. The other is brown and is named "Charlie Brown." It's a transporter. My wife is a great co-pilot and my two girls are seven and nine years old. Our dog, Chippy, loves chasing raquet balls. Hope to see you out there in the slow lane.
