Bumper Stickers and License Plates

I've found that bumper stickers are very important to the owner of a van. And each must reflect either that owners point of view, or a snapshot of a moment in time during the life of the bus. So over the past few months I've thought about which stickers I wanted to keep and which I want to replace to give my bus, my own personal style.. while still trying to be true to its orginal originalness. So after much consideration, I decided to lose the Phish sticker on the back along with one of a demon holding a magic mushroom. And I've replaced them with a Jimmy Buffett decal, since I'm a huge Parrothead, and on the other side.. a simple "D" which stands for Deutschland. Not only the country of half of my ancestors, but the inspiration for the creation of the bus itself. I'm pretty happy with the way it looks.

I decided to keep a few dancing bears on back windwing and a Grateful Dead Sticker on the side window. You can't just trash the Dead you know.

Which brings me to my long awaited arrival of our new personalized license plates. We went with the Crater Lake theme and I think it turned out great.

We decided on 4 PEAS and couldn't believe it was still available. To us it has a dual meaning. First of all, we think of the Party Pickle as being our POD and with it's PEA GREEN color we're like the four peas in the pod. Plus another way to look at it is that it says, "For Peace." Which is always a good thing too I think.

About Me

My photo
We love living in the Northwest with our two VW buses. One is green and named the "Party Pickle." It's our camper. The other is brown and is named "Charlie Brown." It's a transporter. My wife is a great co-pilot and my two girls are seven and nine years old. Our dog, Chippy, loves chasing raquet balls. Hope to see you out there in the slow lane.
