clocks, timing, points, party

I've been neglecting the Party Pickle a bit lately although there's really not much to do on it. I've been concentrating most of my time on Charlie Brown. I recently installed a clock for the third gauge spot..

And it all worked like a charm.

And then last Sunday, Hal, Chelsea, and my good buddy Jasan came by to do a little bus work. Jasan once again showed me how to change out the points and attach all the diagnostic equipment to set timing and dwell.

While we were at it, Hal and Jasan changed out the disc brakes in Jasan's bus while Chelsea (my work friend) watched and took notes. We also fixed the sink pump in Chelsea's 68 bus.

Here's Hal..

Here's a good shot of the disc brake. Hal had to bend the brake line a bit being careful not to crimp it, because the new calipers had the hole for the line cut in a different spot than the old ones.

Chelsea consulted the Muir Idiot Guide

But the best part was when Chelsea brought out her guitar and started singing to the girls who'd decided to watch us from the comfort of the pickle!

All in all it was fun and productive Sunday afternoon. Thanks to all who took part.

About Me

My photo
We love living in the Northwest with our two VW buses. One is green and named the "Party Pickle." It's our camper. The other is brown and is named "Charlie Brown." It's a transporter. My wife is a great co-pilot and my two girls are seven and nine years old. Our dog, Chippy, loves chasing raquet balls. Hope to see you out there in the slow lane.
