Both buses now on the road!

At long last and with lots of blood, sweat, tears, (and money!) the Party Pickle and Charlie Brown are running strong on the highways and biways of Oregon.

First a little about Charlie Brown.

Rob did a really nice job assembling my engine for Charlie and for dirt cheap. It runs really strong and tight and after I got it dialed in with the fuel/air ratio, it runs pretty cool. I'm very happy with it and glad I didn't sell it.

I also moved the tire off the front and added a VW logo.

I had been saving a tire cover and hold down hardware for a few months just for this occasion. And you can now see where the spare tire is mounted in the back.

All in all, I think it was money well spent. Let's hope this engine lasts a good long time.

More on the Party Pickle in the next edition!

About Me

My photo
We love living in the Northwest with our two VW buses. One is green and named the "Party Pickle." It's our camper. The other is brown and is named "Charlie Brown." It's a transporter. My wife is a great co-pilot and my two girls are seven and nine years old. Our dog, Chippy, loves chasing raquet balls. Hope to see you out there in the slow lane.
